In the Bible the Leviathan was considered as a friend of evil and was always thought to cause chaos. Many believe the Leviathan to be the first mention of any sea monster. However some scholars do not believe that the Bible is at all true with its statements. In fact many say that the leviathan may have just been whales. The thought to be animal that the Leviathan is is a nile crocodile. In Job 41:18 it says the Leviathans eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. This verse causes many to believe its just a crocodile due to the fact crocodiles come up in the morning with only their eyes out of the water.

The body of the leviathan?
In June of 1983 an unidentified body floated up on the beach of Bungalow beach in Gambia. It was examined by Owen Burham who did not have a camera but took measurements and a description. After this Dr. Karl P.N. Shuker made a list of six possible identities it could be Out if all these the only possible animal it could be that is still in existence is the Sheperds beaked whale. All the other five are prehistoric and can only be studied by fossils. This carcass still has not been identified as the leviathan and is not believed to be by all.

Today the leviathan is not considered to be one of the most popular sea monsters but is considered to be one of the most believable due to its mention on the bible. It is mentioned many times and has a real descriptive mention in Job chapter 41 and is said to be a creature of immense strength and size. Many scholars have read about this monster and believe it to be a crocodile but others think differently due to the fact that crocodiles don't swim in deep water and don't reach the size described by the bible. However there have been reports of crocodile resembling creatures by submarines and they have been said to reach the size if 15 to 18 meters. However there have been no pictures or real evidence of this.

Disproving Nessie
Aaron Swearingen
Almost every belief of the Loch Ness Monster's existence can easily be disproved. The very first picture supposedly taken of Nessie in 1934 which got a lot of people believing in it turned out to be fake and reproduced (How to Par 1). Second, proving that there is in fact nothing like this in Loch Ness, a research team in 2003 sent 600 sonar beams that would pick up a creature of this size onto the lake to see. Nothing even close to that of the Loch Ness Monster was seen (How to Par 2). With 600 sonar beams something should have been picked up if there was actually a sea monster in the waters. Evidence is the key factor in making something believable in my opinion.

The Leviathan or Dragon of the sea is one of the first mentioned se monsters and goes back to the book of genesis. It has sometimes been blamed for tsunamis and it is said that when it rises to the surface the water boils above it. Legend has it that the leviathans skin is like a double coat of mail and it has scales the size of shields. It is said that swords and any other sharp weapons would bounce of the beasts back not leaving a scratch on it. The leviathan is also said to breath smoke from its nostrils and fire from its mouth. Its fins have been said to radiate light and his eyes are said to be bright as the sun. It is said that God created two of these creatures but had to kill one of them so they couldn't breed or it would be the end of mankind.
