Here is a video that shows how the director of "The Pirates of the Caribbean" depicts the kraken.



This video shows a good visual on how the kraken brings down its prey. Although this is obviously not real and is just another wonder of Hollywood, the detail seems to capture the imagination. When I see this I tend to put myself on the boat and can almost feel the spray off of the tentecles as they rise up over the ship. If this creature did/does exist, I feel that it would be the most terrifying experience of my life.
